How Smoking Affects Your Body


The effects of smoking not only kill you but it slowly affects your body in many ways.  The following are some effects of cigarette smoking on the body:

The Mouth/Teeth

People who smoke are at a risk of developing mouth cancers. Smoking causes your teeth to stain and also leads to tooth decay, bad breadth and gum disease. 

The Facial look

Smoking gives you wrinkles and "crow's feet"   around the eyes, much before you actually have to get them.  It causes wrinkles around the mouth and damages the blood vessels which results in pale yellow cheeks.  

The Lungs

Lungs are badly affected by tobacco intake and causes irritation and cough.  Smoking also leads to respiratory infections and flu and are more likely to suffer from lung cancer.  

The Heart and the Circulatory System

There are higher deposits of cholesterol in the arteries and blood system in people who smoke and it you also suffer from high blood pressure.  The most common cause of death due to smoking is heart attack.  

The different Organs of the body

The entire body is at risk of getting cancer like cancer of the bladder, liver, stomach, pancreas and almost any other part of the body.
