Ill effects of Smoking

Awareness is all that is required for survival in many conditions. People are constantly looking out for the inner dangers that are encountered in daily life. Very few people would fearlessly drive a car without all of its safety requirements. While nobody without a wish of dying would gracefully jump off of a bridge to see what's there below. Human beings are always cautious of the things that would potentially harm them. Visually, physically, and scent are normally how people take notice of danger. Dangers that are not visible to the human senses like bodily changes; are not usually noticed until the damage is too much. The same applies to smokers who are not aware of the many invisible dangers associated with smoking.

Smoking is one of the major addictions. The risks at associated with smoking are deadly enough so much so that cigarette companies are now labeling the package as dangerous.  A common risk of smoking is damage to the lungs. Tobacco smoke when inhaled goes directly to the lungs. The smoke then overtime causes tar build up which makes breathing impossible and hence causes smoker's cough. The risks of smoking are the same for men and women. A woman smoker however has a little higher risk. Pregnant smokers give birth to babies with birth defects. Premature births and asthma are a few common problems a baby faces. All cigarette smokers face premature death.

Smoking is harmful not just for the smoker but everyone who surrounds the smokers. Secondhand smoke is as potentially dangerous as smoking the cigarette itself. Smoke travels through the air and hence everyone who comes in contact with are affected.
